Next Steps

It is by the shed blood of Jesus Christ that we are saved from our sins and given new life, and it is only through this salvation that we can have a personal relationship with Him.
So why do we need salvation?
What does it even mean to be saved?
Read the ABC’s of salvation below for a simple, yet life-changing explanation of the Gospel.

A – ADMIT that you are a sinner in need of a Savior. Sin is any thought or action that disobeys God, such as doing something we know is wrong, or not doing something we know is right. We are all sinners who fall short of God’s perfect standard, and when we admit our sins we “agree with God” that our own efforts to make things right will never be enough. Thankfully, there’s a solution to this problem.

B – BELIEVE that only through Jesus, God’s Son, can we be restored to a right relationship with God. His love for us is so great that He, the sinless Savior, died for a sinful people like us. The Bible says that salvation is found in no one else: if we declare that He is Lord, and believe that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved.

C – COMMIT to follow Christ and place your faith in Him alone. Deciding to follow Jesus means that you make a conscious choice to change your mind about the way you’re going to live the rest of your life. We are forgiven and set free in order to experience the blessings of God’s ownership, and to tell others about His saving grace for those who admit their sins, believe that Jesus is God’s Son, and confess that Christ is Lord.

If you want to make this commitment you can do so today by praying something like this:

“Jesus, thank You for loving me so much that You died on the cross to pay for all of my sins. I am sorry for going my own way for so long. I now admit that I am a sinner who needs a Savior. I believe that Heaven is a gift that You alone can give me, a gift that I cannot earn and will never deserve. Help me to become the individual You created me to be as I choose to follow You.”

If you prayed this prayer, we would love to speak with you!
