What is Our Time?
Our Time is a ministry for moms of preschool aged children (ages 2-5). The program is structured to provide interactive activities for moms and children, which they may not do at home. Weekly activities include stories, songs, crafts, snacks and games that relate to the theme selected for each week. Themes vary each semester, and include developmentally appropriate preschool topics such as Bible Stories, Community Helpers, Fairy Tales, Families, and Animals, as well as a variety of Holiday Celebrations.
Moms and children can choose activities that interest them, with no pressure to perform or keep to a schedule. Moms have the opportunity to be positive as they watch their child grow and explore. It also provides a safe place for moms to develop friendships and create a support system of women in similar situations, because let's face it - being a mom is hard work!

Songs and Stories: A time to move our bodies and learn new things. Children love rhymes and songs and it is a fun way to build language skills. It is also a time to develop early literacy skills by listening and participating in stories.
Arts and Crafts: A time to be creative and experiment with various art materials. Young children can explore and create what is meaningful to them. It can be as simple as finger painting, or following the steps of a craft. The emphasis is on enjoying the process and a time for moms to praise the efforts of their child.
Outside Play: A time to be active and pretend. Children at these ages learn best through play. They can use their imaginations and enhance their motor skills by jumping on trampolines or kicking balls on the field. It is also a time for them to choose activities that interest them, whether it be navigating the slide or blowing bubbles.
Snack Time: A time to eat and try new things. Cooking is another area where children can develop independence, and a chance to say, Look what I made, Mom! Moms also have a snack for themselves, something they may not make time for at home with the busyness of life.
